Product Description
Some environments call for shutters that combine a high level of security with transparency. Our transparent shutters are used in a wide range of situations including retail premises, banks, museums, exhibitions and galleries, where public access is unrestricted, and high value items must be protected.

Made of horizontal strips of virtually unbreakable poly-carbonate, these extremely robust shutters give crystal clear visibility when closed, providing transparency of 83%, and allowing through 92% of daylight. Because it is UV-stabilised, the shutter will not discolour or yellow, and will retain its exceptional clarity for many years.

Because they present a more aesthetically pleasing effect than a completely solid shutter, and because they allow through light to help light an area after dark, this type of solution is popular in town centre conservation areas.

Technical Specifications

Our transparent shutters are made of synthetic links of polycarbonate. These links are built in brick formation making it extremely secure. Shutters retain maximum flexibility and can bend, but cannot crack or break. It is the only transparent façade shutter in Europe to obtain SKG Class 3 certification against the strict European standards ENV 1627-1630.

Shutters are also fire retardant having been awarded Class A certification – the highest European class of flame retardancy.

Options and Variations

We can supply transparent shutters in many different forms to meet specific needs, and the standard system can be upgraded to be classified as Ramraid resistant. The frame can be powder coated any RAL colour and there are mini links for smaller areas.

Available in various versions such as transparent, frosted and ventilated as well as in a transparent version with a coating against scratches and graffiti.
