Background & Client Requirements

Brampton Golf Centre developed a dedicated paddle tennis building to support year-round play. However, the open bay design presented challenges in terms of:

• Security – the building needed to be secure when not in use.

• Insulation – heat needed to be retained during the winter months.

• Sun Control – players needed protection from direct sunlight during matches.

• Aesthetic Vision – the client wanted an industrial, modern appearance that complemented the facility’s architecture.

• Reliability – with daily use, the system had to be robust and low-maintenance.

These combined requirements made a standard shutter solution unsuitable. A high-performance, insulated model was necessary to meet both functional and visual expectations.

After assessing the building’s structure, dimensions, and use patterns, we recommended the GLV-INS95 insulated steel roller shutter system.

Installation Process

Structural Enhancements

Due to the large bay openings and shutter dimensions, additional steelwork was required to support the shutter guides and motor assemblies. Our team designed and installed these reinforcements to meet safety, load, and performance requirements.
