Role Description

Previous shutter industry experience is essential for this role.

This is a full-time, on-site Operations Manager position based in Wombourne.

You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our installation, service and maintenance departments, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and supporting operational teams across the business.

  • Planning workloads and coordinating engineers, materials and resources.

  • Ensuring projects and customer work are completed on time.

  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, engineers and internal departments.

  • Monitoring operational performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Maintaining clear and professional communication throughout each project.

  • Managing supplier relationships and coordinating material availability.

  • Promoting compliance with health and safety requirements and safe working practices.

  • Supporting the development, performance and progression of team members.

  • Contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience within the shutter, industrial door or a closely related industry is essential.

  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar leadership position.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

  • Excellent operational planning, resource management and organisational skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to build positive relationships with customers, suppliers, engineers and colleagues.

  • Experience managing supplier relationships, procurement and material scheduling.

  • A customer-focused approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience identifying and implementing operational and process improvements.

  • A good understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Relevant vocational training or qualifications in operations, management or a related field would be advantageous.
