Use the FL-SHLD 90 to seal horizontal openings and prevent the “chimney effect” of fire spreading upward.

• Escalator and Stairwell Voids: Effectively closes off the gap between floors to stop fire and smoke from rising through open circulation areas.

• Atriums and Light Wells: Ideal for compartmentalising building levels without sacrificing the open-plan aesthetic.

• Skylight Protection: Provides a fire-rated barrier for large glass roof sections to prevent fire from breaking through ceiling structures.

• Specialised Horizontal Operation: Specifically engineered to deploy across flat openings up to 12 meters wide.

• Radiant Heat Protection: The fabric features a specifically formulated aluminium pigmented coating that reflects heat toward the fire source.

• Gravity Fail-Safe Technology: Designed with a secure fail-safe system to ensure the curtain moves to its operational position even during total power failure.

• Fire Rating: Available in 60-minute (1-hour) and 120-minute (2-hour) Integrity (E) configurations.

• Heat Protection: Provides 30 minutes of Radiation Performance (EW) to keep heat transfer below 15kW/m².

• Maximum Size: Capable of protecting openings up to 12 meters wide by 3 meters long (to a maximum of 32m²).

• Standard Compliance: Fully tested and approved to BS EN 1634-1, BS 476, and BS EN 16034.
