This high security blast blind can be fitted internally being a buildings window. They work by using ant-shatter film that is applied to the window. This acts as a trigger in closing the blind within 10 milliseconds of the blast hitting the window. Once triggered the highly secure blinds rotate 180 degrees stopping shrapnel, glass and debris from entering as well as working amazingly against forced entry.
Manufacturing methods of these blinds are adhered to ISO 9001:2008. Building core strength and durability at every manufacturing stage.
Double Lock Grille / Fixed Grille
Internally fitted behind a building’s window for forced entry prevention. The SECURABLINDS® Defender Fixed Grille has a fixed internal panel when access to the window is not necessary. The SECURABLINDS® Defender Double Lock Grille has a lock on both sides of the panel, so it can be removed for access to the window by unlocking both sides and carefully lifting out with the required amount of people depending on its size.
Finish: Polyester Powder Coated
A locking bar can be inserted across the blades into the inner panel to lock the blades in the closed position. Fixing Typically fixed through the outer frame within the reveal of a window aperture into the substrate of the building (timber/brick/block/concrete) using M8 VF fixings.
Height (Tightest aperture size -5mm.)
Unit Height min + max (dependant on width): 700mm to 2500mm – a transom (variable height) splitting the blades into two sets that can move independently from one another will be required over the height of 1900mm. Lock height and locking bar height are variable, dependent on overall height chosen. Lock height typically placed approximately a third from the bottom to centre of the unit. Locking bar height typically 2-300mm below lock height (Dependant on height of the unit, lock and hinge heights). If a transom is required there is a locking bar for each set of blades.
Choose closest size under tightest aperture size -5mm. Increments in 75mm.
