Our SNRLL Roller Shutter combine several features / benefits into one high quality attractive design. As well as providing a secure and weatherproof closure, the SNRLL offers a high degree of thermal and acoustic insulation. 
Having been tested at the Department of Acoustics at Salford University, the door achieved a sound reduction of 27dB Rw. As such, they are ideally suited to external openings where the acoustic envelope must be maintained such as power stations but are equally at home in internal applications where they act as a sound-break between two rooms e.g. exhibition halls, at a fraction of the price of other door types such as movable walls. 
They are available in large sizes (doors up to 10 metres high have been supplied) and are even available in a 21dB Fire rated version.

Acoustic Rating

When independently tested, the door achieved a weighted sound reduction index Rw of 27 dB.

Curtain

Constructed from 100mm flat section galvanised steel laths with acoustic infill and nylon endlocks fitted to alternate laths to prevent lateral movement. The bottom rail comprises a steel capping channel fitted with an integral rubber seal.

Guides

The side guides are formed from galvanised steel with twin brush strips and prepared for fixing to the opening structure by means of continuous fixing angles.

Barrel 

The roller is manufactured from mild steel tube of sufficient diameter and wall thickness to resist deflection and is mounted in bearings or cups on each end plate.

Endplates

Fabricated from mild steel of adequate thickness relative to door size and supplied with angles for fixing to the structure.

Barrel

Our barrels are normally made from a seamless steel tube of adequate diameter to counteract deflection and hold in bearings or cups attached to the endplates.

Finish

Galvanised as standard. A polyester powder coated finish in a range of standard RAL colours is available at extra cost.

Weight

Approximately 50 kgs per m².

Operation

Electrical operation is by means of a direct drive 3 phase geared motor mounted on the outside of one endplate. The motor has an inherent safety brake thus meeting all relevant Health & Safety requirements and the standard unit is pre-wired obviating the need for a site electrician.

Controls

The standard method of control is by means of internal wall-mounted push button control. Other types of control including keyswitches etc. are available at extra cost
